Class Representatives

What is a class representative?

For each year, four class representatives will be picked to represent the class at Staff-Student Liaison Committee meetings as well as represent their year at monthly DVSU meetings.

What does a class rep do?

Attend the SSLC meetings! The Class Reps meet with the course organisers to discuss what went well, what didn’t go well, and what can be changed about the course in order to improve it.

At least one of the four representatives should attend the monthly DVSU meeting to represent their year in discussions.

To avoid confusion, these individuals will be the main points of contact for both students and administrators to discuss issues such as:

  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Questions regarding ICAs or exam structures
  • Learning objective issues
  • Problems with wrong notes
  • Lecturers not showing up to class
